Serge Drolet, M.Sc.

Serge Drolet completed a Master degree in Psychology at U of Montreal. His thesis was on occupational stress. Throughout his studies, he worked as an assistant at various research sites, including, the Centre de Recherche Fernand -Seguin and the Institut Philippe-Pinel. His doctoral level training in Cognitive- Behavioral Therapy was completed during an internship at the Allen Memorial Institute.

After his studies Serge Drolet joined the Centre de Psychologie Behaviorale (CPB) in 1990. He has since, offered individual psychotherapy for various disorders (anxiety, depression / burn out, chronic pain, personality disorders, addictions and adult form of HDAD). He offers services for intellectually challenged individuals with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

His therapeutic approach is easygoing, blending, the scientific rigor of western thought with the experiential of the east

Serge Drolet has an interest in the Psychology of High Performance in the fields of Academics, Medecine, Law, Performing Arts and Sports. 

Since becoming an associate of the CPB, in 2006, Serge Drolet’s time has been divided between its administration, clinical work, supervision and consultation for governmental agencies. In the last decade, he worked for the late Dr Kieron O’Connor, studying the efficacy of the treatment of OCD through Mindfullness.

His current projects are the development of: a) CBT Stress Managment program for intellectually gifted individuals and: b) CBT Harm Reduction program for consumers of Hallucinogenic drugs
