Johanne Mainville, M.Ps.
Johanne Mainville has been a member of the Ordre des psychologues since 1998. She earned her Master’s Degree in Psychology at the University of Montreal. She has a wealth of experience acquired while working in the educational sector (elementary, secondary and university) as well as in the health and social services environment (rehab centers and psychiatric hospitals).
She has developed expertise working with people of all ages presenting with autism spectrum disorder (including Asperger syndrome) to whom she offers assessment, psychotherapy, educational support and parental coaching services, etc.
She has also developed valuable expertise in treating individuals suffering from chronic anxiety. Her clients are comprised of children, teenagers and adults and her approach is primarily cognitive-behavioral . She offers counselling services for the following problems: anxiety, anxiety disorders (phobias, social anxiety, generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder), depression, behavior problems, attention-deficit disorder with or without hyperactivity, sleep disorder and bullying.
She also offers consulting, supervision and training services to professionals as well as various organizations (CSSS, community organizations, etc.) and serves as an expert consultant to Service Québécois d’Expertise en Troubles Graves du Comportment (SQETGC).
